Sashiko Pre-Printed Sampler - Navy
Sashiko pre-printed samplers feature wash-out stitching lines, eliminating the need for pre-washing. These 100% cotton samplers measure approximately 12" x 12" upon completion. The design is printed on one half of the sampler, allowing you to stitch through both layers for a slightly heavier fabric, which can be used for a quilt square or pillow, with the ability to add your own backing. Alternatively, you can stitch through a single layer and use the attached piece as the backing. In Japan, the samplers are stitched through both layers, hemmed, and used for tea towels or table decorations.
Sashiko is an incredibly easy and enjoyable craft. Simply stitch along the pre-printed stitching lines - no hoop or chart is required. If you're new to sashiko, please let us know if you need an instructions sheet to get started.
